Pianist
Frank-Immo Zichner obtained numerous awards and prices, e.g. in 1985 at the Robert-Schumann-Contest and in 1986 at the Chamber Music Contest for piano trio in Colmar/France. Frank-Immo Zichner is a frequent guest at international music festivals, amongst them the Berliner Festwochen, Biennale Berlin, Banff/Canada, Bad Kissinger Musiksommer, Moskauer Herbst. As a pianist and chamber musician he gave concerts in more than 25 countries in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Middle- and South America.
Chamber Musician
Since 2000 Frank-Immo Zichner is member of the Aperto Piano Quartett, which has succeeded by the piano quartets of Gabriel Fauré under the label hrMEDIA.
Lecturer
Frank-Immo Zichner is lecturer for piano and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" Weimar and the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin . He is also a Visiting Professor at the School of Music, Bloomington, USA.
